National Marine Sanctuaries

The Georgia National Marine Sanctuary is Gray’s Reef National Marine Sanctuary. The National Marine Sanctuary in Georgia is one of 14 marine protected areas that make up the National Marine Sanctuary System that encompasses the nation’s more than 150,000 square miles of marine and Great Lakes waters.
