Located in west central Georgia just north of Columbus with one shore in Georgia and the other in Alabama, Goat Rock Lake is one of 15 Georgia Power-owned lakes in the state. The 940-acre lake has 25 miles of shoreline. In the Chattahoochee River watershed, it is formed by the Chattahoochee and Goat Rock Dam. Goat Rock is part of a 4-lake chain of Georgia Power lakes on this part of the Chattahoochee including, from north to south, Lake Harding, Goat Rock, Lake Oliver and North Highlands.
