Description:

Located one half mile south of Alpine Helen in Nacoochee Village, the winery is open daily for complimentary tastings and self guided tours. In addition to a large selection of Georgia grown and produced wines, the tasting room also features a gift shop with gourmet foods and wine specialty gift items.

Some of the finest award winning Georgia Wines have been produced at Habersham Vineyards and Winery since 1983. Over 150 medals have been awarded to Habersham Wines in both national and international competitions. The Winery was located in Baldwin, Georgia until November 1998 when construction on a new facility was completed at Nacoochee Village in Helen, Georgia.

Stonepile Vineyard (See photos)
Stonepile Vineyard north of Clarkesville is Habersham’s original and oldest vineyard with plantings dating to 1980. Current plantings of about 30 acres yield 125 tons yearly on average. Varieties include cabernet sauvignon, merlot, chardonnay, riesling and French-American varieties seyval, vidal and chambourcin.

Mossy Creek Vineyard (See photos)
Habersham acquired this eight acre vinifera vineyard in 1994. It is planted with cabernet sauvignon, merlot and chardonnay and yields about 25 tons of grapes annually.

Explore Nacoochee Village (See photos)
The winery is located in the Nacoochee Village, also home to an historic grist mill, antiques, shopping, dining, cabin rental, and flyfishing.

At Nacoochee Village, not only will your family enjoy a visit of the winery, but the other unique shops that are part of the Village. Start your day with a cup of gourmet coffee and catch up on all the news. If you enjoy flyfishing, painting your own pottery or hunting for antique treasures, you can find it all at the Village. Visit an 1876 Grist Mill still producing grains, a fly shop with one and a half miles of trophy trout stream, or an old fashioned ice cream parlor. Love to hunt for antiques, then you will love the Antique Mall, with three floors full of antiques, and collectables. Buy candles directly from the manufacturer, find that perfect piece of mountain real estate, or enjoy lunch or dinner at one of the areas’s finest restaurants. Coming to visit North Georgia?
