Description:

Located in the scenic mountains of northeast Georgia, Lake Burton is one of 15 Georgia Power-owned lakes in the state. The 2,775-acre lake has 62 miles of shoreline. In the Savannah River watershed, it is formed by the Tallulah River and Burton Dam. Burton is one of a 6-lake chain of small lakes on the Tallulah including, from north to south, Burton, Seed, Rabun, Tallulah Falls, Tugalo and Yonah.
