Description:

Providing recreational opportunities for both central and east central Georgia along with its sister lake, Sinclair, just to the south, Lake Oconee is one of 15 Georgia Power-owned lakes in the state. The 18,971-acre lake has 374 miles of shoreline. In the Oconee River watershed, it is formed by the Oconee and Appalachee rivers and Wallace Dam.
