Description:
Located in west central Georgia north of Columbus with one shore in Georgia and the other in Alabama, Lake Oliver is one of 15 Georgia Power-owned lakes in the state. The 2,150-acre lake has 40 miles of shoreline. In the Chattahoochee watershed, it is formed by the Chattahoochee and Oliver dam. Lake Oliver is part of a 4-lake chain of Georgia Power lakes on this part of the Chattahoochee including, from north to south, Lake Harding, Goat Rock Lake, Lake Oliver and North Highlands.
