Description:

Located in southwest Georgia with one shore in Georgia and the other in Alabama, Lake Walter F. George (also known as Lake Eufaula and sometimes as Lake Chattahoochee) is one of 10 US Army Corps of Engineers-owned lakes in the state. The 45,181-acre lake has 640 miles of shoreline. In the Chattahoochee River watershed, it is formed by the Chattahoochee and Walter F. George Lock and Dam. (Read more about how this lake ended up with three names).
