Description:
Sweetwater Creek is a peaceful tract of wilderness only minutes from the bustling center of Atlanta. The park features a variety of natural and cultural resources, including the ruins of the New Manchester Manufacturing Company, a Civil War-era textile mill. A self-guided tour of the mill ruins and surrounding community is available at the park office. Seven miles of trails, shaded streams and the George Sparks Reservoir make this a popular outing destination.
