Description:
The Soque River watershed is the “Heart of Habersham County.” It is completely contained within Habersham County in beautiful northeast Georgia and is the central feature of the area. No other county in Georgia possesses a watershed the size of the Soque from its headwaters to mouth.
The Soque River Watershed Association (SRWA) is a nonprofit, membership organization made up of individuals and institutions interested in the preservation and protection of the Soque River watershed. Learn more about the SRWA and the Soque River watershed by visiting its website. There you may sign up for the bi-weekly email bulletin or check the Calendar of Events. You’ll find information about the geography of the watershed as well as narrative histories of it and much more.
PUBLIC ACCESS
Public access to the Soque is available at Jackson Bridge on SR 197.
