Thomasville’s Liam’s

Georgia > Southwest > Thomas County > Thomasville

What Liam’s Says About Itself…
We thought you should know…
That we chop and dice and grind and cream in kind
To invent and conceive a melodious treat
For our passion is to lavish you with fine things to eat.
We will stick to the menu and keep you on course
But know it is love that’s our driving force.
Service is thorough and comfortably shared,
We want you to know when you leave that we cared.
So for each time you visit new tastes will await,
Welcome to Liam’s, may your experience be great!

picture-1.jpgHi there!  We’re Rhonda and Scott Foster and we are at your service. Both Scott and I have been in the restaurant business for most of our lives. Our philosophy is simple:  Be true and honest to the food. Give people what you say you’re giving them. Prepare the food with love and it will show.

Everyone who works with us has this same appreciation.  We love our staff, they are a little quirky now and then, but that’s okay, because when you’re here, you’ll get genuine and honest service, too.

Our sous chef is Chris Paulette.  If you look over the wall of our open kitchen, you can see him.  Laura, Jen and Casey are our servers.  They have the most important job.  We are forever grateful for the care that they provide for our guests.  Last, but definitely not least, is Carlos.  He makes sure all of our dishes are spotless.

We want our guests to feel at home.  If there is anything we can do to make your visit with us more enjoyable, let us know.

  • I live in Los Angeles and travel abroad at least twice a year. Discovering wonderful restaurants where food is a passion is exhilarating, especially when you find a real gem tucked away in an unexpected place. This is the case when my wife and I found Liam’s restaurant in Thomasville, Georgia. JBLosAngeles in Trip Advisor, 2/07
  • For South Georgia - this is a little different food than most people are used to eating in this area - kind of pricy but very good ! sixcar6mm in Yahoo! Local 09/05
  • Materials may be local - Sweet Grass Dairy Cheeses; or very off-shore – Uruguayan grass-fed steak. Both the cheese selection and the wine list of small-producer choices are designed to complement the food. Reviewed by Jane Garvey in Georgia EMC Magazine 06/09

What Ivy Cottage Says About Itself…
ivycottagergb400.jpgThe Ivy Cottage was established in April of 1992. We have enjoyed serving our customers for the past 16 years and look forward to many more years of providing the best possible food we can serve you.

What Others Are Saying About Ivy Cottage

  • I love it. The old house was beautiful. The staff was about to close up for the day and said come on in. They treated you like family. That’s cool!! 5 shovels buffet or not you treat me like I’m family you get 5. Thanks Ivy. Shovel in Yahoo! 12/04/07
  • You have trouble getting in the door of this place if you wait too long at lunchtime because it has the best food of its type (cuisine really) in the area. The homemade Raspberry Vinaigrette Salad Dressing is to die for and the homemade casseroles and other dishes are divine. I also love this place because of its homey feel. It is inside of what used to be a home & it’s a beautifully decorated little cottage/cafe. They also sell many fine crafts & beautiful items at the front. It’s a little gift shop of sorts. Prices are reasonable also. Shannon W. on BooRah 9/29/05

What Love’s Seafood Says About Itself…
lovesrgb150.jpgLocated on the banks of the beautiful Ogeechee River, just 15 minutes from Savannah, Love’s Seafood Restaurant on Highway 17 South at Kings Ferry offers fine dining in a rustic atmosphere, among the finest to be found in coastal Georgia.

Since 1949, this restaurant under the ownership of the Love family has offered to its customers the very best in seafood. Dine with us overlooking the Ogeechee River, one of the most beautiful rivers in America. We take our fish direct from the river to our kitchen and serve it fresh at your table. It’s a taste you will long remember.

In October 1993 Love’s Seafood was selected by Paramount Pictures for one of the many filming locations of the Academy Award-winning movie, “Forest Gump,” starring Tom Hanks.

What Others Are Saying About Love’s…

  • This place is amazing. I don’t remember ever having to wait for a table. It’s right on the Ogeechee River, and the view from the dining room is phenomenal. You can see the site where parts of Forrest Gump was filmed. I have never left this place without a completely full to-go box, the portions are very healthy. ugagirl719, Savannah, in Trip Advisor, 06/09
  • We ordered by 5:15 and waited, and waited, and waited. We inquired about the delay and were told the entire dining room was behind on orders, but ours would come out soon..??. When queried again at 6:30 the owner’s relative (daughter?) told us it was because one of our party ordered the steak and it takes 45 minutes. Discriminators, North Carolina, in Trip Advisor, June 09
  • The service was excellent and attentive. The crab stew was great! I had shrimp and scallops. The breading on the seafood was a bit heavy, next time I’ll be having it broiled. Chuck L., Gaineville, GA, 4/09 in yelp!

  • Good traditional country food as good as Grandmas.  Wished they had meatloaf more often in the week, my favorite.  They have recently started opening for dinner and it is a great place for that. Also try them for breakfast too.  The biscuit and gravy is a real treat.  They have almost every type of breakfast meat you can think of.  This is a good place to start those long days of weekend projects from. They also have another location just off Perl Nix parkway too! Chuck L, Gainesville, GA, in yelp 11/08
