All this first week of February, I’m smoking out the best restaurants in the University of West Georgia town of Carrollton. Included so far, Plates on the Square, Jerry’s Country Kitchen, Vogelsberg Bakery and nine more. Check the list of Carrollton, Georgia restaurants on the Brown’s Guides site or find over 1,200 other restaurants in all regions of Georgia in the Georgia Restaurants category.
P.S. Is your favorite Carrollton restaurant on the list? If not, tell me about it and add a comment. I’ll see that it’s included and credit you with the suggestion.

Jerry’s Country Kitchen has been my favorite Carrollton restaurant since around 1980 when I was a student at West Georgia. The unchanging decor has always been welcoming, the breakfasts are wonderful (the pancakes are iconic in Georgia, and the “hen aig” biscuits are tops), and I also like the lunch specials (one of the few places I can get great speckled butter beans fixed right), and Jerry has been giving warm greetings to guests for so many years.
My daughter has now introduced me to several great eateries on the Square, especially the Empire Grill and the Irish Bred Pub. Enjoy going back there with her again and again.
Gives me yet another reason to pass through there on real estate business….
