daphne-house-logo.jpgWelcome to Daphne Lodge, a family business since 1952. Daphne’s first fame was at the turn of the century as a dance pavilion. This elegant open air structure was located just inside the confines of the present-day Veterans Memorial State Park. The railroad had a hand in setting up the pavilion and ran excursions out to it from Cordele. People would pack a picnic basket, dress up in their Sunday whites, and go to Daphne for the whole day. Daphne Lodge enjoys the fruit of many years of successful service. We’ve appeared in Southern Living as one of the top ten restaurants serving catfish and have been featured on the cover of their Sea and Stream cookbook.

Second, they serve catfish, which any self-respecting Southern restaurant does. Third, they give you a lot to eat, which would make your mama proud. Mark Johnson, Restaurant Editor, Brown’s Guides.
