From roaming the vineyard to tasting award winning wines, discover the wine culture experience at the Georgia Winery in Ringgold.

You do not have to travel to the south of France or Napa Valley to get a wine making experience. Just travel to the North Georgia Mountains and visit the Georgia Winery & Vineyards, one of the region’s oldest and most celebrated wineries.

Established in 1983, this family owned and operated winery, a pioneer in the farm winemaking industry in Georgia, produces more than 20 different wines, ranging from dry to sweet and from light to full-bodied. The Georgia Winery has won over 200 medals in numerous commercial wine contests, including a Double Gold at the 2008 Indy International Wine Competition for the vineyard’s “Georgia On My Mind,” a blend of Muscadine grapes and peaches.

Throughout the year, the Georgia Winery offers complimentary wine tastings, winery and vineyard tours, and a gift shop that carries wine accessories, gourmet foods, homemade fudge, and handcrafted wine-filled chocolates. (more…)
