From the moment you get out of your car, you will know you have found a unique place. Historic Banning Mills rests among 1,000 beautifully wooded acres, overlooking the scenic Snake Creek Gorge in Whitesburg, Georgia. You’ll not only enjoy the warm Bed and Breakfast romantic getaway atmosphere, but Banning Mills is a perfect family get-a-way place and corporate retreat.
Banning Mills has multiple food options, spa and many great entertaining outdoor adventures. The beautiful scenic environment is perfect for weddings, romantic getaways, family outings, church retreats, and other group events. Great service, amenities and warm country hospitality are blended with an idyllic setting.
Lodging Overlooking the Snake Creek and Gorge
Historic Banning Mills has 12 spacious Jacuzzi rooms with private baths, king beds, double Jacuzzi tubs, hide-a-bed couches, gas fire logs and decks. There are 10 country-elegant log cabin suites that are furnished with a queen bed, jetted tubs, private bath, breakfast area, gas fire logs, and a loft with two twin beds. Five cozy cottages feature an efficiency kitchen, queen bed, private bath, futon, sleeping loft and electric fire logs. The lodge building has 20 lodge rooms. These rooms have king beds that can be made into two extra long and wide twin beds, private baths and a deck overlooking the enchanting Snake Creek Gorge.
Catering Food for Meeting Dining Options
During your stay, you will wake up to a delicious hot breakfast, which is included in your overnight package. Choices for lunch and dinner are available with advance notice. Enjoy a freshly cooked, wonderfully prepared dinner by Banning Mills chefs. Where to eat can be almost as fun as what to eat. You can choose the dining room or the dining room addition, the “Tree Terrace,” that sits 100 feet above Snake Creek.
Historic Banning Mills also offers in-room and tree terrace dinners, whether you are a couple wanting a romantic in-room delivery, or an organization seeking a four-star lodge dinner package.
Banning Mills does not have an open restaurant, so meals, other than breakfast, which is included in your overnight stay, must be made with advance reservations.
